The House Bunny

Heather Whipkey (Staff Writer)

Shelly Darlington (Anna Faris) is a playboy bunny who has lived in the mansion for nine years and is Hef’s favorite.  Soon after her 27th birthday she is kicked out of the house “for being too old”.  She wanders around Beverly Hills for a while and finds “mini playboy mansions” which are really sorority houses and decides she wants to live there.  To be able to live there she must take on the job as the most unpopular sorority’s housemother.

Shelly turns these lame, ugly outcasts to the most beautiful, popular girls on campus.  Shelly helps save the sorority and also learns some things about herself on the way.

This movie is rated PG-13 for sex-related humor, partial nudity and brief strong language. This movie stars Anna Faris, Katherine McPhee, Emma Stone, Rumer Willis, Kat Dennings, Monet Mazur, Dana Goodman, Colin Hanks, and Hugh Hefner.

In my opinion the movie was very funny.  I don’t think that it would be very good for children under 13 to watch the movie.  I thought the acting was very good.  I would definitely recommend this movie to comedy lovers.  I think that Anna Faris played the part of Shelly Darlington very well. She had the right personality needed to play the part.  Overall I thought the movie was very good and give it 3.5 out of 5 stars!
