The Mist

Everyone thought the storm was nothing serious that night. The next day, however, Dave Drayton and his family went outside and looked at the damage done by the storm and notice an odd mist forming across the lake. Dave, his son Billy, and his neighbor Brent Norton, went to the supermarket for supplies. On the way they notice the army, the firefighters, and the policemen headed towards the mist. Brent mentioned something about "Project Arrowhead", a secret military plan that no one knows about. Once they were in the supermarket they saw a man with a bloody nose running towards the supermarket yelling, “Something in the mist!” and he told them to shut the doors. Once they had shut the door the mist was all around the store and the building began to shake. Dave was told to go check the generator and he noticed the loading dock door was being pushed from the outside. Dave went back to have three guys come with him to check out the generator room. Norm, the bagboy, decided to go out to fix the generator but once the loading dock doors open long tentacles attacked and took Norm. Dave and the other two guys fought off the tentacles. They went to alert the people in the supermarket about what lurks in the mist. After hearing this, Mrs. Carmody says that it is the times and that God is punishing them. People don’t believe it, but later on after more weird moments due to the mist, people started to follow her and do what she told them to do. Dave, his son, and some other people, who weren’t believers of Mrs. Carmody, decide to escape the supermarket and use Dave’s vehicle to see if they can ride out the mist. What does the Arrow Project have to do with the mist? More importantly will Dave, his son, and his friends survive this mess?
