Band Chirstmas Concert

Every year the band holds a Christmas Concert. The concert started at 6:00 PM on December 18, 2008 in the auditorium. A reception followed in the cafeteria and all were welcome. This year the band had a new director, Mr.Olisar. The band had a good time working and getting ready for this concert. This year the High School Concert Band, the Middle School Concert Band, the Jazz Band and the Beginning Band all played at the concert. The Beginning Band was a new addition to the concert. The Beginning Band consisted of the members of the band that just joined. The Beginning Band played “Rolling Along,” “Hot Cross Buns,” “Lightly Row,” “London Bridge,” and “Mozart Melody.” The High School Band played “Christmas Flourish,” “Christmas Fancies,” “Candlelight Carol,” and “The Nutcracker Suite”. The Middle School Band played “Up on the Housetop,” “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Christmas Medley.” The Jazz Band songs consisted of “Big Band Holiday,” “Rock On Merry Gents,” and “Swing the Songs of Christmas.” All the bands sounded great and everyone looks forward to watching the spring concert.
