WG Band Plays with Waynesburg University

The West Greene Middle-Senior High School marching band was invited to play with Waynesburg University’s Pep Band on November 15, 2008. Waynesburg asked the band to come to one rehearsal with them the day before so that they could practice the songs with them. The band was able to perform their half time show during half time of the college football game. They also played stand tunes, the Star Spangled Banner, and Waynesburg University’s fight song. This gave the band an opportunity to listen to and play with members of a university band. The game was a very big, so it helped the members to not be nervous and to just have fun. This game was against Waynesburg’s rival school, Washington and Jefferson College. There was a very big crowd despite the rain. The band had a great time and hopes to do it again sometime.
