Volleyball

The West Greene volleyball team worked hard and put forth a lot of effort this year. They started open gym in July and had a camp with Waynesburg College. This camp was a big success. The girls learned a lot of new skills.
They hosted the very first varsity volleyball tournament at West Greene this year. This tournament was a huge success. They also played in the Chartiers Houston varsity tournament. The JV team played in a tournament at Jefferson Morgan.
There were seven seniors this year. The seniors were Sarah Burns, Kimmi Thorne, Kristin Miller, Ashley Lindsay, Jasmine Moore, Kacee McMillan, and Erin Stoll. These girls plus Cathy Mason, Courtney Eddy, and Codi Byers made up the varsity team. There were seventeen other girls on the volleyball team. These girls made up the junior varsity team.
Both the JV and varsity did a great job this season. They put in a lot of time and hard work into this season. They may have lost seven seniors but the other girls are ready to step up and take their positions.
