New Moon Stephenie Meyer |
|
|
-- Sydney Stennett (Staff Writer)
New Moon is the story of Bella Swan told in her point of view. After a very miserable breakup from her vampire boyfriend, Edward Cullen, Bella slips into a state of depression that no one can seem to get her out of except for her friend, Jacob Black. Just when everything seems to be getting better for Bella, Jacob starts acting strange, and Bella discovers that Jacob is a werewolf. When Edward finally tries to contact Bella, he misunderstands Jacob, his immortal enemy, and believes Bella is dead. Now Edward has no meaning to life and travels to Italy to be destroyed by the Volturi, the ruling vampire family, and Bella is in a race to save the life of her one true love.
Stephenie Meyer is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a degree in English Literature. New Moon is her second book in the Twilight series. Also in the series, is the third story of Edward and Bella, entitled Eclipse. Meyer is working on the fourth book, Breaking Dawn.
For those of you who haven’t read Twilight, I strongly suggest you read that before any of the other books in the series. Although New Moon is an excellent book, I was a bit disappointed by the fact that the Cullen family was only in a couple hundred pages of the book. Other than that, the book is very well written and tells a very interesting story filled with romance, drama, and suspense. |
