"There are three things, after all, that a poem must reach: the eye, the ear, and what we may call the heart or the mind.  It is most important of all to reach the heart of the reader."  -- Robert Frost

Existence

By: Kahlia Roberts

The waxes run,

Staining red,

A creamy sheet of purity.

Making beauty,

Scarring life,

And laying down the cards.

Sea of vitality,

Sky of magnificence,

There is a beating, battering howl.

The threats,

Threaten stunning,

And the strike may be crippling.

Aye entity,

Calm the maelstrom,

That the flame may burn yet.
