"There are three things, after all, that a poem must reach: the eye, the ear, and what we may call the heart or the mind.  It is most important of all to reach the heart of the reader."  -- Robert Frost

Life

By: Matt Yukon

Life: a simple term,
yet so complicated,
meaning all of everything,
but yet nothing.
How can this be?
My life so grand.
Is it the people I live with,
the friends at hand?
No,
it's my life,
my one and only chance to succeed,
so bear with me
as I take this plea
of guilt and shame.
No,
of fame and glory,
and hope to succeed
in life.
