"There are three things, after all, that a poem must reach: the eye, the ear, and what we may call the heart or the mind.  It is most important of all to reach the heart of the reader."  -- Robert Frost

My World

My World

By: Matt Yukon

Everything around me moves, but I hear no sound.
I am in an alternate dimension. In this world,
my world, the only thing I hear is your heartbeat,
racing across the night sky as I near closer to you.
Eyes connect,
speechless we are as we cannot close in on one
another.
A barrier of nothingness blocks our way.
I franticly look for a crack,
a key,
anything to get through this wall.
But slowly you fade away.
Gone you become as things never even started.
This dimension is called a very
"loving" one...
