"There are three things, after all, that a poem must reach: the eye, the ear, and what we may call the heart or the mind. It is most important of all to reach the heart of the reader." -- Robert Frost |

Someone Has To Be Our Savior By: Kahlia Roberts |
|
|
We have to start somewhere.
Someone has to be the first, Even if they face the worst. Someone has to say no, Even if they take the blows. Someone has to speak their mind, Even if others continue to act blind.
Someone has to back down, If the fires are to be drowned. Someone has to find the courage, To release us from our bondage. Someone has to take a stand, If they seek a helping hand.
Someone has to use compassion, Instead of fighting in a brutal fashion. Someone has to say kind words, Instead of forcing hate to be endured. Someone has to start the trend , If we are ever allowed to mend. |
