Residents of the community may have noticed that the district has upgraded the football field.  We asked the students what they thought of the enhancements:

  • It’s more comfortable for the fans.  There is more seating available, with sturdier bleachers and the added bonus of not looking into the sun to watch games in the early part of the season.

  • It has a better playing surface.  The players love the new sod, and the field’s crown prevents pooling of water on the field.

  • The track and cross country teams have a safer practice area, including an improved throwing area for field events.

  • Entering with flare, the players now approach the field by running down the visiting side’s hill and rallying the crowd.  Senior Isaac Courtwirght compared this new style to that of Clemson University.
