West Greene School District

West Greene Anatomy and Physiology class had the opportunity to view an open heart surgery procedure at Allegheny General Hospital.  The students were guided through viewing the procedure by a host in the observation deck above the surgery table.  Not only did they view the surgery, but had the opportunity to discuss the procedure, careers and many other items with the anesthesiologist in charge of several operating rooms and the heart surgeon who performed the operation.  The class thanks Mrs. Danielle Frye for chaperoning the trip and being an excellent roll model for the students.
