The West Greene School District has initiated the 28-day review cycle for its new 3-year Comprehensive Plan.

Comprehensive planning is critical to leading school improvement work for every school district.

The WGSD Mission Statement:

The mission of the West Greene School District is to provide educational opportunities to maximize individual potential.

The WGSD Vision Statement:

The West Greene School District strives to provide students with the conditions and resources needed to maximize academic, vocational, and personal success. We will work to embrace every child's individuality and aim to help each student to become a productive member of our global society. Reaching inside and beyond the boundaries of the school system, we will strive to locate and utilize available technologies, cultural resources, and opportunities that will provide our students learning experiences reflective of real-world complexities and possibilities. The district will strive to be a partner among family, child, and community in order to work collaboratively with each entity to develop students' intellect, communicative competency, work ethic, technical/vocational literacy, and self-worth.

Please take time to review the plan document listed here:

2020-2023 West Greene School District Comprehensive Plan

You may submit any questions, changes, or feedback to Eric Gaydos, Academic Director of the West Greene School District at gaydose@wgsd.org.

Once the review cycle is completed, the plan will be presented to the Board of Education for adoption.

A presentation about the plan will occur on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the regularly scheduled July School Board Meeting.

Please note that this plan is not a "Reopening Schools Plan."  We are planning to have that presented on Thursday, August 13th, 2020 at the WGSD regularly scheduled School Board Committee Meeting.
