On October 5th, the West Greene Elementary Center's third grade class visited the Laurel Caverns on a field trip. The trip was a valuable enrichment to the science curriculum as they were able to observe topics such as weathering, erosion, landforms, rock structures and soil. It was a comprehensive, visual experience allowing students to witness how the Earth changes above and below the ground. Visiting the largest cave system in Pennsylvania is a unique opportunity that was enjoyed by the students and teachers alike!
