Earlier this year, West Greene Aquaponics Program was awarded a $1,000 FirstEnergy STEM classroom grant.  The grant funds will be used to add solar power production to the aquaponic system, in order to test the feasibility of running it off-grid. The solar panel system was ordered in December but a panel arrived damaged and needed to be sent back. To make matters more interesting the new panels where held up in customs and were finally received this week. We look forward to seeing the panels installed and producing power soon. Keep checking back for breaking solar panel news.
