West Greene School District

If you’ve been following the West Greene girls basketball team this year, you know the name, Anna Durbin. On the verge of her 1000th high school career point, this outstanding athlete is a leader off the court as well.  In addition to her goals of reaching 1000 points and helping the team secure a playoff berth, Durbin also is striving to fight food insecurity in the area.  As her National Honor Society individual service project, she has organized a food drive to benefit the Corner Cupboard Food Bank.  Throughout the month of February, bring your food and monetary donations for the Corner Cupboard Food Bank to the Lady Pioneers’ home games (or drop them off at the West Greene High School office).  We are excited to partner with the team at First Federal of Greene County which has graciously offered to host donation boxes at their Greene County locations to help Anna reach her goal.
