Students Work to Preserve Greene County Veteran’s Stories in the Library of Congress
PR Team
Wednesday, October 25, 2017

West Greene students will begin a quest to preserve personal accounts of Greene County veterans.  This year they hope to begin by facilitating the preservation of World War II and Korean War Veterans experiences by interviewing veterans and submitting their stories to the Library of Congress Veteran’s History Project.  The Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center collects, preserves, and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war.

Projects may be viewed at the following link.

If you know any Greene County World War II or Korean War veteran that would be willing to partner with students in preserving their experience, please contact one of the teachers below.
