On Friday, May 12, three students from the West Greene Elementary Center participated in the PMEA Sing Fest held at West Allegheny High School. Elaina Beazell, Ellie Inmon, and Rylan Knight were among 150 students chosen from 47 schools in District 1 to participate in the event, which culminated in a choral concert that evening. The students spent the day rehearsing their music as well as engaging in a world drumming class and a dance class. The ensemble was led by Mr. Steven Schmidt, an elementary and chorus teacher at Bradford Woods Elementary School in the North Allegheny School District. The concert was very well attended, expertly sung, and was extremely well received. Congratulations to the girls, and we look forward to seeing what musical endeavors are ahead for these talented young musicians!
