We had quite an eventful four weeks with Camp Iwannalearn. Students had the opportunity to take their classroom lessons to the great outdoors. As part of their learning activities, students learned how to set up their camp safely and responsibly throughout their time at Camp Iwannalearn and during their visit to Ryerson Station State Park.
Thanks to a generous donation from MarkWest/Marathon Petroleum, our students were able to each go home with their very own two-person tent! Now our students can continue practicing the skills they've learned at our summer learning program home with them! We hope that these tents get lots of use both indoors and outdoors, including being used as their very own book nook!
We truly appreciate the partnerships that we can develop with our local industry leaders. We hope that our partnership with MarkWest/Marathon Petroleum can extend beyond the tents and into our career development programs as we prepare our students to be successful productive citizens upon graduation.
