WGSD is now hiring substitute support personnel, including support workers, school nurses, and classroom teachers. We have a newly increased hourly rate for support workers at $13/hour. In addition, we have a higher rate of pay for substitute nurses at $150/day.
The substitute teacher rate is currently $150/day, which is one of the highest rates in both Washington, Greene, and Fayette County. In addition, there is a bonus structure for substitute teachers who work 35 days within a 9-week grading period.
