Carlow is offering two great summer workshops for rising high school students happening July 20-22. Students will move into a campus residence hall room and participate in hands-on learning activities and labs on campus as well as throughout the city of Pittsburgh. We appreciate your willingness to share this information with your students and families. It's a great way for students to experience academic programs and career fields while having a fun summer experience on a college campus!
Teaching as Exploring is our education-focused workshop where students learn to think like educators through hands-on, project-based experiences across Pittsburgh. Working with Carlow faculty and utilizing local museums and learning spaces as classrooms, students design creative educational programs and lessons while exploring how teaching connects to community, creativity, and real-world learning. Students will be inspired not only to learn—but to lead, teach, and make an impact through education.
Prepare to Care is our healthcare-focused workshop where students learn directly from Carlow faculty through immersive, hands-on clinical experiences. Participants explore multiple healthcare fields while practicing real patient-care skills, engaging in anatomy and simulation labs, and observing professional healthcare environments. Students will be inspired to discover how they can care, serve, and lead in the healthcare professions.
Registration is open now, but space is limited. We encourage students to sign up today. If there's any questions, feel free to reach out to chs@carlow.edu, and I'm happy to talk with students and families about the program.
