On May 1, all of the second graders at West Greene Elementary School were
able to have an international video-call with a second grader who lives nearly
3,000 miles away.  They got to meet John, the second grader in Guatemala for
whom they provided the scholarship at Christmas time.  The second graders got to
meet and communicate with John via the internet.  They asked him questions about his current school year and questions that they didn't get to ask him in letters that they sent.  John also asked the students questions about their life in the
United States.  John said he would like to visit the United States one day.  All
of the students and teachers seemed to enjoy the international conversation.
