Donations

West Greene School District experienced the loss of one of its most valued teachers on October 25, 2021, when Dr. Kurt Jones passed away. Dr. Jones positively influenced the lives of
countless students in the West Greene community over the last 12 years in his role as biology
teacher.

Dr. Jones believed that true learning came not just from classroom experiences, but also
through service to others. In his memory, the West Greene National Honor Society hosted a
volleyball tournament and donation drive to benefit the Greene County Humane Society, a
cause that mattered deeply to Dr. Jones.

We are proud to announce that with enthusiastic community support the West Greene NHS
raised $851 and stuffed several vehicles with supplies for the Greene County Humane Society.
Special thanks to the West Greene community, faculty, and administration for supporting the
NHS students in offering such a remarkable tribute to our dear Dr. Jones.
