GET TO KNOW YOUR PRINCIPAL

Welcome and thank you for visiting the web-site page for West Greene Elementary Center. My name is Don Painter and I have been the elementary principal in West Greene for the last 10 years. I am a graduate of St. Bonaventure University, California University of PA and Waynesburg Central High School. Prior to coming to West Greene I taught 1st grade in the Bradford Area School District and 4th grade in North Carolina.

We currently have a student to teacher ratio at the elementary center of under 10:1 in grades K-6th. Pre-Kindergarten is also available at our school through Community Action South West for 3 and 4 year olds. The elementary school day starts promptly each day at 8:30 and ends at 3:00.

I am proud to be part of such a wonderful, committed and nurturing faculty at West Greene Elementary Center. I encourage all parents to become involved with the education of their children and communicate regularly with me and their child's teachers. You can find a list of faculty e-mail addresses in your Student Handbook or on this web page under the “Teacher” tab near the top of the page.

Lastly, I would like to remind all parents that school security is always a priority at WGEC. All visitors must report directly to the office upon entering the building and sign

Yours in Education,

Donald H. Painter
