PHEAA Grants Update!

On Friday, Keystone Completers headed to Dave & Buster’s for an action-packed day of games, laughter, and team-building fun! From arcade battles to friendly competitions, the group leveled up their teamwork skills in the best way possible—through play. Congratulations to all the students for their incredible hard work and effort this year—you earned it!

Students in 4th grade recently learned about solar energy with Mrs. Bohon. Each group worked hard over the past few weeks to make their own solar oven out of a pizza box. Today, the weather was finally nice enough to put them to the test. Students used the solar ovens to cook smores!

Children Make Terrible Pets by Peter Brown is the new book in the story stroll! Mrs. Bohon selected the book and created the activities to go along with the story. The book will be in the story stroll all summer. A big thank you goes out to Mrs. Kim Grimes for helping Miss Danley to put the new story in the stands. Please come and enjoy a book and a stroll!

Our Science Club made their way to Ryerson State Park on Wednesday to play in the rain. Our students explored the history of the park, completed a nature scavenger hunt while completing a two mile hike through the woods and identified invertebrates in our local streams. It was a beautiful day in Greene County!

Mrs. Lohr's 2nd-grade class has been having a blast growing plants from seeds. The students have shown their green thumbs, caring for their little pots with water, sunlight, and lots of love. They've been so excited to see the tiny sprouts pop up and grow bigger each day. The classroom is starting to look like a mini garden, and everyone’s super proud of how well their plants are doing. It's been a fun way to learn about nature and how things grow!

Miss Garber's 5th Grade Science students got to share their Genius Hour research projects with their classes today! The students were asked to choose a Science topic that they were interested in and create a Google Slides presentation to share with their classmates! Everyone did a great job and worked hard to find their research!
