There is an opportunity for parents of elementary students to attend a parent workshop on Wednesday, April 15th at Lakeside Party Center. The West Greene 2020 Spelling Bee was held on Wednesday, February 12 in the Middle/Senior High School Auditorium. Forty-eight students participated from fourth grade through eighth grade. There were 20 rounds of words to come up with first, second, and third places. Third place was Colin Brady who received a plaque and cash prize. Second place was Billy Witlach, who received a plaque, cash prize, and a one year subscription to Britannica Kids. First place was Darren Knight, who received a plaque, cash prize, one year subscription to Britannica Kids, and will get the opportunity to represent West Greene as he competes at the Western Regional competition at Robert Morris University on March 7, 2020.
