Mrs. Renner's class had the privilege of collaborating with Mrs Ullom's Dual Enrollment Speech and Debate class. Junior, Payton Gilbert, read The Frustrating Book to 2nd grade students. She also made all the students a treat bag with items represented in the book. Thank you Mrs. Ullom and Payton!

Mrs. Haines' kindergarten reading intervention groups have been starting out the school year with lots of fun hands-on alphabet activities! Letter blocks, sand trays, alphabet rainbows, and bubble bricks are just a few of the fun resources they've been using. These kindergartners are starting to soar with their alphabet knowledge!

Mrs. Moore's kiddos definitely had a fun Friday! Today the learned all about Johnny Appleseed. They celebrated by making hats and a book, singing songs, cutting up apples for applesauce, and painting/stamping with apples. If you ask the kids what was the best part they'd say getting to eat the applesauce! 🍎🍏

Two of West Greene's top Career & Technology Center Culinary Arts students made it big recently! Well, maybe they just got to be a big part of something exciting! The Ice Plant Restaurant, owned by Ms. Garlick's sister Lisa, was invited to be featured on a episode of America's Best Restaurants. It was only fitting to include some of the CTC's best culinary students! Mr. Wagner, Culinary Instructor, Dylan Wilson and Harlan Bloom stepped in and worked alongside The Ice Plant staff and performed as if they had worked there for years. When the episode airs, watch as Dylan takes the role as the head cook and prepares one of the restaurants most popular meals. Harlan can be found leading the salad prep area. Both Dylan and Harlan did an amazing job and we are so proud of them!
