Students in Mrs. Bohon's 6th grade STEM classes have been learning about forensic science for many weeks. Each week, students analyze a different piece of evidence left behind at the crime scene to see if they can solve the mystery of who broke the cookie jar and stole Mrs. Randall's cookies. This week, students analyzed fiber samples and compared them to the fibers left behind at the crime scene.

Our Classroom Champions lessons for the first month of school have been about goal setting. Mrs. Renner's class set a classroom goal to collect 50 items to be donated to Blue Star Moms. This is an organization who sends care packages to our service members. We exceeded our goal by collecting 124 items to be donated. Awesome job and keep setting those goals! We can accomplish anything with determination and hard work.

Mrs. Booze’s class teamed up with Mrs. Ullom’s Dual Enrollment Speech and Debate class for a dramatic reading activity. Junior, Payton Gilbert, read The Frustrating Book by Mo Willems to her second grade students. It was a book about emotions. Payton was a former kindergarten student of Mrs. Booze, and she was excited to welcome her back. Thank you to Mrs. Ullom for arranging this collaboration, and to Payton for sharing her love of reading with many of the second grade students. We enjoyed having you!
