The regularly scheduled West Greene SD November Committee Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at 6 PM in the Board Conference Room and via Zoom.

WPIAL Playoff Tickets West Greene will be hosting the First Round WPIAL Football Playoffs this Friday at 7:00 pm. This is a WPIAL sanctioned event and their ticketing rules apply to our students and staff. Students have an opportunity to purchase discounted ($5) student tickets on a pre-sale basis only. Students and Parents of school-aged children can purchase student tickets at https://gofan.co/app/events/435627?schoolId=PA68325. All adult tickets and tickets purchased at the gate will be $7. Pre-kindergarten children are admitted free of charge. Fall Sports athletes will need to have a pre-sale ticket ($5) on their mobile device or purchase a General Admission ticket ($7) at the gate. No Fall Sports athletes will be admitted without a ticket.

West Greene Elementary students in grades Pre K-3rd were instructed about fire safety by several members of the Center Township VFD. The weather cooperated and the students really enjoyed seeing Sparky the Fire Dog and being able to see some of the fire trucks up close. Thank you Center Twp. VFD and Assistant Chief Casey Cook for a great afternoon.

Homecoming/Senior Night 2021 Information:

With hunting seasons upon us, the elementary "Braggin' Board" is up and ready to display successful harvests of all of our elementary students. If your elementary son or daughter harvests any game or fish during this school year, please send in a picture so it can be displayed. Pictures can also be emailed to me at painterd@wgsd.org. The children really enjoy looking at the pictures of other students and the game they harvest.

Just a reminder to all families that there is no school on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 due to a scheduled Act 80 Day.

Welcome back to a new school year! I just want to remind all elementary parents that we need a note from home for all students who will be parent pick-up students for the entire year. Additionally, we will need notes sent in for any student who is going to be changing their "normal" dismissal routine on any given day. Notes should have your child's name, teacher name, date and a phone number in case we need to contact you. Thank you for helping to make this school year a successful one.
