Ms. Garlick's students practiced their math, reading and skills for life by making homemade pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving. They each took their creation home to share with family. Thank you to Mrs. Fedak and her advanced Family Consumer Science students for helping and teaching us some great tricks!

The Scholastic Book Fair will be happening December 8th-December 11th! The goal of Share the Fair is to make sure every student leaves the book fair with a book. The donations help West Greene students get a book that would otherwise not be able to shop the book fair. If you would like to contribute, you can use the link provided. https://shop.scholastic.com/stf/fund?orgUCN=600092364 If sharing online is not your thing, but you would still like to donate, please contact Mrs. Bohon at bohons@wgsd.org or 724-499-5183 ext. 2367. Thank you to everyone that donates!

A few of our 4th graders recently asked to share a presentation with their classmates about their experiences with epilepsy. Their courage in opening up about their challenges and medical journey truly inspired everyone in the room. We are so proud of you—way to go, kiddos!

Mrs. Shannon's Science Classes worked on the Prisms VR Headsets today to learn about how Organisms grow in different places throughout the world. The module that the students did allowed them to manipulate the amount of sun, air, and water a place gets and how that impacts the plants that grow there.

This week, our Portals students took their learning to the next level with an exciting visit to Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center (ETC)!
They got an inside look at CMU’s world-renowned program — where graduate students use the same technology and tools our high schoolers are already mastering! 💻🚀
From playtesting student-created games 🕹️ to learning how ETC grads go on to work for powerhouses like Disney and Pixar, our students walked away inspired and ready to dream even bigger! 🌟
