2024 PROM
The Prom will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at the Hollywood Casinos, Meadowlands. The agenda is attached. The Prom will be announced in the coming days.
Happy Valentine's Day from Ms. Garlick's class! Each holiday we make a dessert to take home and share with family. For Valentine's Day, the students picked giant chocolate chip cookies.
The top floor of the elementary center is decorated for Read Across America Week! We will be celebrating February 26-March 1.

Read Across America Theme Days!
West Greene NHS member Pieper Whipkey has started her Individual Service Project. Pieper has partnered with the United Way on this project. Thank you in advance to everyone who supports our members who are working to gain leadership experience through service and make connections in the community.

Our fourth grade students decided to make Valentines's cards for the residents at Waynesburg Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Tuesday night, several fourth grade families distributed the cards. There were smiles all around!
Second-grade students in Miss Pinto's class thoroughly enjoyed immersing themselves in the engaging activity "Read it, Write it, Bead it" today. They eagerly rotated roles, with some students decoding words on popsicle sticks while their peers wrote the word onto their doodle pads. Upon successfully reading a word, students selected a vibrant bead to add to their bracelets. These students will proudly wear their bracelets, exuding both style and confidence, a testament to their exceptional reading skills.

On Friday, third graders completed a Classroom Champions activity to explore how communication, collaboration, and cooperation contribute to a strong classroom community. Together, they created a web to symbolize their connections, with each person sharing what they believe makes a strong classroom community. 🕸️🕸️

Mrs. ❤️’s Class enjoyed a Celebration for the 100th Day of Kindergarten this week. We celebrated with 100 piece trail mix, 100 Day Posters, Building structures with 100 solo cups, making Fruit loop necklaces, pattern Block 100’s, How many exercises we could do in 100 seconds, and painting using groups of 10 dots to make 100. We finished off our week by dressing like we were 100 and doing an experiment “How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop more or less than 100?” It was a great way to celebrate being 100 Days Smarter!
