ATTENTION PARENT DROP-OFF DRIVERS: Please see the diagram for dropping off children in the parent drop-off line. We have been having parent drop off vehicles interfering with buses trying to get to the rear of the school building between 7:50 and 8:00 AM in the concession stand area. Vehicles with only Jr./Sr. HS students to be dropped off should follow the RED ROUTE, Vehicles dropping off elementary students or a combination of Jr./Sr. HS and elementary students should follow the YELLOW ROUTE. Additionally, it would be helpful if space between vehicles could be kept to a minimum. We appreciate your help.

Some of Mrs. Richardson's 6th graders were introduced to our newest educational technology, called PrismsVR. PrismsVR provides students with the opportunity to learn math and science content in a virtual reality, which allows them to utilize their knowledge in real-world virtual reality scenarios and applications.

What a fun first day in Mrs. Wilcox's classroom! Our chemistry students were challenged to solve a number of riddles, allowing them to continue onto the next activity of trying to identify where proper safety equipment was located throughout the classroom. Once found, a student had to put each piece of equipment on to lead their group to victory. Lots of laughs and definitely a day to remember!!

The Hargus Creek Designs crew is starting the year strong. They've been hard at work creating banners to spotlight our senior athletes-look for their designs at this Friday's football game and don't miss the sponsorship banner that will be displayed at volleyball games all season long.

Mrs. Kim Grimes volunteered with Miss Grace Pinto and Miss Leeann Danley to clean the story stroll stands and put a new story in the stands. The three of them worked together to put The Very Impatient Caterpillar by Ross Burach in the stands. The questions and activities that go along with the story were designed primarily by Mrs. Jessica Wassil. Please stop by the story stroll to read the new book!

FFA Officer Retreat was a huge success and we are looking forward to an amazing year! Missing a couple officers this week unfortunately, but glad to have the planning and bonding time that we could have. Students have done leadership and team building exercises, program planning and goal setting, and of course a mini-photo shoot (thank you Mrs. Hackney!). Also, these students are pretty great cooks!

Kindergarten Club was a huge success this week! The Kindergarten Team coordinated a preview for their upcoming Kindergarten students of what to expect in Kindergarten. They utilized a Dinosaur theme and we met new friends, listened to a story each day, about dinosaurs, learned new songs, pretended to be paleontologists, made a special snack, worked with Playdoh to create dinosaurs, made art projects, and put together puzzles. We also adopted a pet dinosaur and got to name our adopted dinosaur. They also got to tour their new school and take a bus ride to Rogersville and back. We ended our Kindergarten preview days with lunch provided by the West Greene Cafeteria! This will make our transition to Kindergarten a smooth one! We are looking forward to a wonderful Kindergarten adventure in 2025-26 school year!

West Greene's annual summer program was another success! Students took on the challenge of becoming Secret Agents by tackling an obstacle course during spy training, used their collaboration skills to interpret clues, and even designing their own disguises! Thank you to all that participated.
You made this summer program one to remember!!
