On Friday, February 21, two elementary students, Harley Frye and Peyton Patterson participated in PMEA Elementary Sing Fest, held at Plum High School. The girls joined approximately 150 students from many other schools in District 1 as they prepared 6 choral pieces for a concert given that evening under the direction of Dr. Mark Boyle of Seton Hill University. The concert was exceptional and the girls both did a wonderful job!

Due to a water line break, we will be dismissing school at 1:30 PM today to begin to expedite the repairs. In addition, the district will be operating on a FID on Friday, February 20, 2025.

Our 4th Grade students and their families made many Valentine's Day cards to distribute at We Care at Rolling Meadows this week. The 4th graders made the cards as part of a community service project. A special "Thank You" goes out to the employees at We Care, who allowed us to visit.
Shout out to our Rifle Teams's top ten as they make their way to WPIALS!! They are one of ten teams that will travel to Team WPIALS at Mt Lebanon-Dormant rifle range.
Feb 11, WG Engineering toured the facilities at BAP Industries of Waynesburg. Students were able to see an industrial rotary metal laser cutter, CNC router and CNC plasma cutter doing fabrication work locally for the gas industry.
Eighth-grade math students had the opportunity to explore the Prisms Math program using our new VR headsets. They engaged in hands-on math experiences, applying various concepts they’ve learned throughout the year to real-world situations.
Unless otherwise stated, the Fitness Center will be closed for the remainder of the week. We will resume normal operating hours on Monday, February 10, 2025.

Earlier this month 16 Seniors in FFA were presented with their Keystone (State) FFA Degrees and 23 Freshmen & Sophomores were awarded their First FFA Jacket at the PA FFA Mid-Winter Convention at the PA Farm Show in Harrisburg, PA.
